As we said, we arrived quiet early in Chiang Mai and we did not have an accommodation yet. We already had one hostel in mind but they we completely booked, so were walking around in Chiang Mai for at least 90min. to find an accommodation. Since it was Chinese New Year’s Eve, everything was fully booked. Finally we found one (Manon Hostel, new hostel, with tiny but clean rooms), which two boys from the bus recommended us. We were kind of exhausted, so we first needed breakfast!!! Our roommate told us that there is a bakery about a 5 min walk away, so we went there straight and it was worth it! Pain au chocolat, Banana pancake and Niklas’ Omlett! So we were set for the day! For the next two days in Chiang Mai we rented a Scooter to get around the city. We did not like Chiang Mai itself that much, but it was still nice visiting it. It has a wall around its city center, some nice Parks to rest and a couple of street food areas. We left Chiang Mai after two days and went on to Pai, which we heard should be much nicer than Chiang Mai.
